Postgraduate Rep for the British Society of Eighteenth-Century Studies. Helping to organise and run the Postgraduate and Early Career Researcher Seminar Series, Conference. Part of the BSECS Committee representing postgraduate interests.

ELIZABETH MONTAGU'S CORRESPONDENCE ONLINE (EMCO) INTERNSHIP

Transcribing and tagging eighteenth-century letters (using Oxygen XML Software) from Elizabeth Montagu to Elizabeth Carter. Also gaining experience of how a digital letters project operates.

HISTORY LAB SEMINAR CO-CONVENOR AND COMMITTEE MEMBER

My role as seminar co-convenor is to organise and run the History Lab seminar series with my co-convenor, Ellen Smith. We also organise and run two workshops a year, inviting guests to speak on topics to aid postgraduate students. These include Applying for PhDs, Applying for Post Docs and forthcoming: Applying for Non-Academic Jobs and Turning your thesis into a monograph. We have also had special roundtable sessions where we discuss topics such as the pandemic and postgraduates and what is it like to be a postgraduate student?

POSTGRADUATE RESEARCH REP

In this role I work with the Graduate College and the Students' Union to implement changes and improvements to the postgraduate research student experience at Bath Spa University. This involves sitting in several meetings, including Academic Board, collecting feedback and running events such as writing in progress sessions.

DISTANT COMMUNICATIONS CONFERENCE - CO-ORGANISER

This was an online conference, held over two days, with generous funding from the Royal Historical Society, the Social History Society and the Midlands4Cities DTP. These funds enabled us to pay for a Zoom account, bursaries and paper prizes as well as fund the development of our website. EUROPEAN GRADUATE SCHOOL FOR TRAINING IN ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL HISTORY RESEARCH (ESTER) RESEARCH DESIGN COURSE 2019

Taking place in Lyon, France, this research design course took place over four days and involved 30 participants from across Europe writing a research design paper on their PhD to date, presenting it and fielding questions. All papers were reviewed by an academic and peer at the event and comments/questions discussed.

ACADEMIC REPRESENTATION AND ADVICE CO-ORDINATOR

This role was within Bath Spa Students' Union and involved me organising course rep and senior academic rep training, developing resources and documents, undertaking research and writing reports, working with other members of staff on their initiatives, developing the revised complaints procedure, creating and organising course rep round tables, and running student elections, as part of a committed team. I was also a point of contact for students needing assistance with appeals, complaints or plagiarism reports as well as general health and wellbeing matters. As part of this role, I also organised with Student Led Teaching Awards and co-organised the Students' Union Awards
